A new kind of therapy

Connected Within™ is a facilitated, members-only psychotherapy group designed to support adults in building the most secure relationship of all—the one you have with yourself.

This is a new kind of therapy.

  • Not a support group

  • Not open emotional processing

  • Not crisis care

Instead, Connected Within™ offers structured, communicative, skills-based group psychotherapy where you practice staying connected to yourself in real time—within relationships, boundaries, and everyday life.

This group is not trauma processing.

This group is not crisis care.

Connected Within™ is a members-only psychotherapy group created and led by Kristin Sage, LPC, LMFT, designed for highly sensitive adults and recovering people-pleasers who want to:

  • Build self-trust

  • Set and maintain healthier boundaries

  • Reduce guilt, resentment, and over-responsibility

  • Learn to recognize, allocate, and protect emotional energy

  • Live with greater emotional security and clarity

This group is intentionally designed to:

  • Reflect attachment-informed clinical philosophy

  • Avoid trauma-heavy group dynamics

  • Emphasize present-focused, skills-based work

  • Support long-term participation rather than short-term intervention

  • Protect both client capacity and therapist energy over time

Why Group Psychotherapy?

  • I believe many relational struggles are not caused by a lack of insight—but by a lack of consistent, embodied practice.

Highly sensitive and relationship-oriented adults often:

    • Understand their patterns intellectually

    • Recognize people-pleasing, over-giving, or boundary challenges

    • Know what they want to change

    • Struggle to apply insight in real-time relationships

Connected Within™ was created to bridge this gap.

  • Rather than focusing on symptom reduction or past-focused processing, this practice emphasizes:

    • Awareness — noticing internal signals as they arise

    • Repetition — practicing new responses consistently

    • Integration — carrying skills into daily life

    • Self-trust — learning to stay connected to yourself

Change occurs not through intensity, but through steady relational practice.

  • Connected Within™ is:

    • Facilitated by a licensed therapist

    • Communicative and structured

    • Attachment-informed

    • Present-focused and skills-based

    • Designed for ongoing participation

You will not be asked to share your trauma story. You will not be pressured to process emotions publicly.

    Instead, you’ll practice:

    • Naming internal experiences

    • Noticing relational pull or pressure

    • Staying regulated while connected

    • Responding rather than reacting

This group supports your life outside of therapy—relationships, work, family, and everyday decisions.

Healing here is not about fixing yourself.

It’s about learning how to stay connected to who you are—consistently and compassionately.

Who Connected Within Is For:

Connected Within™ is especially supportive for adults who:

  • Identify as highly sensitive or deeply empathetic

  • Notice patterns of people-pleasing or over-functioning

  • Struggle with boundaries, guilt, or resentment

  • Feel depleted from managing others’ needs or expectations

  • Want to live with more clarity, alignment, and internal trust

Many participants are functioning well externally, yet feel internally stretched, misaligned, or disconnected from themselves.

You do not need to be in crisis to participate.
You do need a desire to practice staying connected to yourself.

This group offers structure for people in any phase of adulthood who want to relate differently—without becoming hardened or disconnected.

Who This Practice Is Not For":

To protect safety, sustainability, and group integrity, Connected Within™ may not be the right fit for individuals who are currently seeking:

  • Trauma processing or narrative-based trauma therapy

  • Crisis stabilization or emergency support

  • Deep emotional processing groups

  • Advice-giving or peer-led support spaces

If any of the above feel important for you right now, a free consultation can help determine whether individual therapy may be a more appropriate starting point.

This clarity allows Connected Within™ to remain clinically grounded, contained, and effective for long-term participation—while ensuring clients receive the level of support that best meets their current needs.
